Setting the Scene: The Hightail Trail Race
Nestled halfway up Brisbane’s iconic Mt Coot-Tha, the Hightail Trail presents a fast-paced course starting at Legacy Way Car Park and weaving down Mahogany track. With Brisbane’s rugged terrain and sweeping eucalyptus-view vistas, it’s the perfect proving ground for experienced and beginner trail runners.
Pre-Race Prep: Training, Nutrition & Mindset
Zoe’s keeps her race kit simple. a small portion of gels on hand for the race and lightweight, breathable clothing for the Queensland trails. Trails shoes are a must here in Mt Coot-Tha, the terrain can be rugged and unpredictable.
On the Course: Moments of Grit & Flow
Running alongside Zoe brings you to the trail. The camera angles don’t do the hill climbs justice.
Crossing the Finish Line
Zoe nabs an impressive 3rd place female overall! A fantastic podium and well earned. The finish-line emotion is authentic, sweaty smiles, proud teammates, and the satisfaction of hard-earned effort.
